Cultivating a Greener and More Beautiful Future

At Liberty, we dig deep to enhance the communities we serve through sustainability and beauty.

For Earth Day, Liberty New York Water helped customers protect the earth and our precious groundwater by giving away 100 native plants that require less water and look beautiful! Lucky customers who received the plant went home with a pink or purple Moss Phlox Cultivar to add to their gardens. Requiring only one inch of water each week, these plants are also fairly drought resistant and can survive a drier summer. Nobody needs to take the hose out every day for these beauties, they will do fine with a small watering each week.

We also take pride in protecting, preserving, and supporting our communities through events and initiatives like town clean-ups.

Three days, three cities, 12 hours, and 17 Liberty employees recently took to the streets of southern Massachusetts to keep our communities clean. In honor of Earth Day, the group participated in clean-up events in Westport, at Industrial Park in Fall River, and a beach clean-up in Swansea. The group, along with other volunteers and Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan, collected 30 bags of trash and debris. With each bag weighing eight pounds, that equates to 240 pounds of litter being removed from the communities.

Liberty employees in New Brunswick celebrated Earth Day this year by spending time in St. John’s beautiful Rockwood Park. It was a gorgeous day to bag up litter and spruce up this amazing public space.
